In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.



To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:

Pipe Fitter



The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems essential to mining

operations, including water supply, slurry transport, compressed air systems, and other process piping.


Key Responsibilities 

Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping diagrams.

* Cut, thread, and install pipes and fittings using proper tools and techniques.

* Assemble and install piping systems for water, slurry, compressed air, hydraulic lines, and other mining-related

   systems.

* Perform pressure tests on piping systems to ensure integrity and compliance.

* Troubleshoot piping systems and perform repairs or replacements as needed.

* Collaborate with welders, millwrights, and other trades to complete installations and repairs.

* Follow all site safety procedures and comply with environmental regulations.

* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.

* Operate hand and power tools, including pipe threading machines and cutting torches.

* Participate in scheduled maintenance and shutdowns.


Qualifications/Skills and Experience

  • Trade certification or equivalent experience as a Pipe Fitter.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial, mining, or heavy industry environment.
  • Knowlege of different piping materials (e.g., steel, HDPE, PVC) and fittings. 
  • Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and in adverse weather conditions. 
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  •  Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
  •  Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions

  • Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
  • Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.
