Description

Responsible for coordinating MODEC Guyana's prime contract management, including the general organization of activities, strategies, contract management guidelines, proposals, and relationship with clients and partners, aiming to ensure the protection of company's interests before clients, expansion of the project portfolio and maximization of the company's financial results.


Responsibilities

MODEC Guyana Inc. is looking for a Commercial & Contracts Coordinator to work in our Office in Guyana, with mobilization on January/2026 with scope of work such as:


  • Ensure that executed contracts are operated in accordance with the established terms and the interests of the company, through active management, financial monitoring, communications control, and coordination of claims and disputes.
  • Ensure that variations to the contractual scope are handled in the best interest of the company, establishing commercial strategies, preparing proposals for brownfield business opportunities, and coordinating negotiations with the client when applicable.
  • Ensure control of the financial execution of contracts through daily monitoring, monthly completion of pro- forma invoices and associated documentation, annual readjustments, payments of non-recurring revenues, and/or any other payments provided for in the contract, providing pertinent information of such execution to the relevant internal stakeholders, and keeping the internal control instruments fully updated.
  • To guarantee the elaboration, control, and sanitation of the claims and contractual disputes with the clients, aiming their conclusion in the best interest of the company through the supervision of the contract management team in the permanent follow-up/diligence with the clients, use of the established control tools, and active action to mobilize the internal resources.
  • Ensure the transparency and traceability of events and contractual documentation through the control instruments implemented.
  • Spread contract knowledge to all stakeholders, through periodic training and active action as an advisory agent to other areas.
  • Ensure the coordination of activities related to applicable business partners, investors, and shareholders, such as providing reports on the execution and performance of contracts with clients, negotiation and management of "Support service agreements", and other administrative and management activities related to contract execution.
  • Guarantee the preparation of operation proposals for new projects within the deadlines and commercial and financial parameters established by the company, through the evaluation of ITTs (Invitations to Tender) documentation, coordination of activities with the stakeholders, respecting the established deadlines, and negotiations with potential clients.
  • Contribute to the annual budget planning (revenues, expenses and investments) by providing the necessary information about contractual revenue streams, workforce planning, and resources, services, and materials needs.
  • Ensure the usage of Integrated Management System by all employees of the team and contribute to the governance and functionality by defining the management goals and projects schedule (when applicable) together with the IMS team, and following up progress, and ensuring that IMS Documents under their responsibility are updated and implemented.
  • Ensure the alignment of the employees with Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community, Suppliers and MODEC Guyana management, by leading and engaging them, providing technical and behavioral guidance, feedback sessions, and clarifying the Career Path, in accordance with MODEC Guyana's procedures and standards.

Prerequisites

Educational Qualification & Experience: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Relevant certification on business administration, engineering, contract management, or law sets you apart.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and contract management in the oil industry.
  • Fluent English.
  • Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
