Position Summary:                

Responsible for providing exceptional beach service to Members and Guests while promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.  Provide information to Members/Guests about available recreational facilities, activities, lessons and equipment.  Greet Members/Guests onto the beach, prepare and maintain area for Members/Guests.  Adhere and promote all safety standards intended for the safety and welfare of Members and Guests. Starting ASAP and ending on October 31, 2025

 

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

 


  • Adheres to all beach safety standards, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions

  • Maintains the cleanliness and physical appearance of the beach area

  • Knows the location and contents of the First Aid Kit

  • Welcomes Members and Guests onto beach and consistently offer professional, friendly, engaging service

  • Knowledgeable and able to communicate all Club Recreation amenities

  • Ensure Members and Guests are aware of all services available on the beach

  • Oversee activity, respond appropriately in accordance with operating procedures in the event of an emergency, and provide assistance to injured Members/Guests until the arrival of the emergency medical services

  • Set up all beach equipment in designated areas, refresh and break down properly

  • Set up children’s area, refresh and breakdown properly

  • Assist in all set-up and break down of Beach function

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down of F&B functions on property

  • Work closely with F&B Team to ensure smooth running of functions to conclusion

  • Cleans, maintains and position all beach furniture

  • Obtain, fold and stack towels

  • Clear away food and beverage items in a timely manner when needed.

  • Pick up trash and dirty towels and reposition chairs throughout shift and oversee the general cleanliness and upkeep of the beach area

  • Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of beach towels throughout the shift, obtaining clean towels from the laundry and returning dirty towels throughout the day

  • Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items

  • Apply excellent service skills when communicating with Members and Guests and anticipate their needs. Use clear and professional language

  • Comply with all CBC Service Standards, Policies and Procedures

  • Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager

  • Turn in all lost and found items to the front desk for safe keeping

  • Attend all department meetings as scheduled

  • Adhere to member charging, cash handling and other charging method activities

  • All other duties as assigned

 

Skills/Knowledge:

 


  • Previous experience in guest service preferred

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

                   

Education and/or Experience:

 


  • Must be 16 years old

  • Good written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrate maturity to engage with Members and Guests

  • Recreational Experience

 

Licenses and Special Requirements:

 


  • TIPS training preferred

  • First Aid and CRP training preferred

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

 


  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent walking and standing throughout shift

  • Walking in sand

  • Running food and beverage up and down stairs from Beach Terrace to Beach

  • Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions – heat, rain, high humidity

  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, pull and stoop

  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces

  • Quick and accurate response to emergencies

  • Required to work split shifts, holidays and weekends
