Our client, a leading international law firm, is expanding its high-performing litigation team in the Cayman Islands and is seeking to appoint an experienced Paralegal to support the delivery of complex, multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution matters.

 

This is a hands-on position ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in litigation support. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, partner-led environment where exposure to high-value trust, insolvency, regulatory, and commercial disputes is the norm. You will be working closely with experienced lawyers across all phases of litigation, from early-stage analysis to trial support.

 
Key Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities will vary by matter, but may include:

  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Conducting legal and factual research and summarising key findings
  • Preparing hearing bundles and court filings
  • Managing legal documentation and maintaining case files
  • Supporting file openings, conflict checks, and CDD procedures
  • Proofreading and verifying legal forms and submissions
  • Liaising with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders as required
  • Supporting marketing, business development, and administrative initiatives across the team
  • Recording time and adhering to internal billing and compliance procedures
 
Ideal Experience & Background
 
  • High school diploma required; university degree or paralegal qualification preferred
  • Prior experience in a legal or litigation support role (offshore or common law experience advantageous)
  • Strong document management and IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management
  • Willingness and ability to learn Cayman Islands law and procedures
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under time pressure
