OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Client’s Market Development function is expanding operations at JESS to support the Proposal Management process area. Team members within the delivery center work with the Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support the Client’s operations.

The Clients’ Brand Governance process area performs tasks related to U.S. Brand Governance and Management. The primary objective of the U.S. Brand Governance team is to act as firm-wide consultative subject matter experts on brand standards to help protect our brand and enable high impact marketplace outcomes. We work collaboratively with multiple review groups and maintain the appropriate guidance to ensure marketing initiatives are executed in a timely manner and are of excellent quality. 


JOB SUMMARY:

The JESS Brand Governance resources are responsible for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the US Clients’ JESS Brand Governance team including, but not limited to, review of business relationship and logo requests to meet relevant firm policies, monitoring of central Brand Governance and Quality Assurance mailboxes and associated tools to respond to queries, as well as help to facilitate the naming review process.

The JESS Brand Governance Intern reports primarily to the JESS Brand Governance and Management Team Lead but will also take direction from other JESS Growth and Strategy Client team members who are accountable for supported work.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor 2 team central email boxes (Brand Governance and Content Quality Assurance inboxes) to respond to frequently asked questions, help requestors with status updates, and flag messages for escalation to the U.S. Brand Governance team
  • Review workflow tools (Business Relationships Clearance Tool (BRCT) and the Quality Assurance process (QA) for review submissions, inquiries, and requests to ensure inquiries and review requests are assigned and addressed in a timely manner; track and log requests and escalate potential issues accordingly.
  • Liaise with various internal stakeholders via email, including technical support, marketing project owners, partner sponsors and risk reviewers on issues related to submissions to review platforms
  • Assist the Brand Governance team with miscellaneous administrative tasks on an as-needed basis (ex: assist with the tracking of metrics, maintenance of request logs, update of related guidance and intranet sites, etc.)



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES:
Education/Experience

  • Associate/Bachelor degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field from an accredited educational institution

    Or

  • Enrolled in or on break from an Associate/Bachelor degree programme
  • No experience required

Technical
• Ability to work independently with remote supervision
• Excellent writing and editing skills required to craft persuasive messaging and content
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Good communication skills and interpersonal judgment
• Ability to communicate very effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of work
• Capable of being entrusted with sensitive information
